This KMC X9 EPT chain is great for all 9 speed systems. The E-Series was developed with extra safety reserves for E-Bikes, but is also a perfect choice for classic bikes too. High performance 8 speed chain with long lasting life.

EPT Coating

The environmentally friendly EcoProTeQ technology (EPT) from KMC protects chains against corrosion for twice as long as conventional rust protection, setting a new standard. Each component of every chain link is treated separately with EPT. This means a 100% coating that offers the lowest possible attack by water, salt, and air humidity.

Another characteristic of EPT: The very smooth surface gives chains excellent running qualities. Dirt buildup is minimised in the long term, which means that chain maintenance is significantly relieved.
